EVENTS
The San Antonio Amputee Foundation hosts numerous events throughout the year providing our members with opportunities to participate in adaptive sports like kayaking, horseback riding, swimming and snow-skiing, attend social and entertainment events (music concerts, comedy shows, game nights) and enjoy fellowship when we give back to other communities in need including our local food bank, food kitchens and other philanthropic organizations.
One of the best ways to stay in the know is to attend our Monthly Support Group!
MONTHLY SUPPORT GROUP
Second Saturday of Each Month
Our Monthly Amputee Support Group meets the 2nd Saturday of each month at Morgan's Wonderland's Multi-Assistance Center (MAC) at 5210 Thousand Oaks Drive. Family and loved ones are welcome to attend. For more information, please call/text Mona at (210) 269-6662 or email at mona@saamputee.org.
ANNUAL SKI TRIP
Ruidoso, New Mexico
SAAF offers an annual adaptive ski opportunity each year at All Season Adaptive Sports at Ski Apache Ski Resort in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Applications open early Fall. Must be an active member of our organization for at least one year to be considered. SAAF covers 1-2 days of private and specialized adaptive ski instrcutionm, lift tickets, and ski equipment rentals. Participants are responsible for transportation, food an dlodging (hotel group rates available).
STRAPS
(South Texas Regional Adaptive & Para Sports)
STRAPS mission is to organize, promote, administer and conduct a variety of adaptive and Paralympic-style sports for wounded service members and veterans as well as other adults and youth.
